Is There A Par 7 Golf Hole?
Have you ever played a golf hole that felt like it would never end? Some golfers wish that a par of 7 was the standard for many holes, especially those with trouble down the left and right side. Unfortunately, a par 7 golf hole is rare, but it does exist. The USGA does say that par is between 3 and 6, so this is why you won’t see many courses with the par 7.
Can a golf course have a par 7?
It is very rare but possible for a golf course to have a hole with a par 7. With a standard par 4 being around 400 yards or even a little less, you can imagine that it will take you a few extra shots to get to the hole on a par 7. This hole is almost ⅔ of a mile long; you may want to consider taking a cart for this round!😁 I found two par 7 golf holes, both in Asia.

How do you play a par 7?
When playing a par 7 golf hole, it is important to have a great drive. After that, you will likely need four full swing shots to get you to the green. If you think about our example of the 1000 yard par 7, it will take you five shots of 200 yards each to get you to the hole. Once you are there, a solid two-putt will make you a par 7.
Conclusion
It's easier said than done but if you're accurate enough to hit this pretty wide fairway it's not so impossible. If you compare it to an average par 5 you still have 2 more shots you can hit badly, but it's definitely a challenge 😉
